Bob
Cropsey's
1971 Single Cab Repair
After
using his Type2 as a daily driver for the last four years, Bob noticed
a little
rust bubbling due to shoddy work by the previous owner. Unimpressed
by the aftermarket
replacement panels currently available, Bob is going to try his hand
at fabricating his own.
Bob Picked up a 4x10 piece of 18 guage sheetmetal that should help
do the job.
He'll bend and cut his own rockers. He also bought a lead
kit from Eastwood and
is
learning how to lead instead of using plastic fillers.
Check
back often because as soon as he finishes the rockers, and the lower
doors he's
going to tackle the side gates.
